Bodhi Tree Monastery of Art was privileged to present this unique opportunity to young and emerging artists from Bengal .

Jodhpur Art Camp offered a journey of a lifetime - travel to the royal city of Jodhpur and showcasing of talent to the leading art collectors of India .

Bodhi Tree Monastery of Art had organized a Bengal Art Talent Hunt 2010 to select the 12 most promising artists from Bengal.


Read the blog for all the details , as the talent hunt enfolded, to pick 12 winners, whose prize was a two month long exhibition in Kolkata and a sponsored trip to Jodhpur.

The Art Camp was held from 4 - 10 September 2010.

The exhibition in Kolkata titled " Winners of Bengal Art Talent Hunt" was held from 30 July - 30 September 2010 at our gallery.

Everything went off great, and the artists loved the event.

The Winners

Bodhi Tree Monastery of Art is privileged to announce the 12 winners
of the Bengal Art Talent Hunt who will participate in the Jodhpur Art Camp 2010.


1. Dipayan Ghosh 31 years, Siliguri.
2. Fatema Ebrahim Lodhger 29 years, Kolkata.
3. Pintu Sengupta 27 years, Kolkata.
4. Shatabdi Dutta 26 years, Howrah.
5. Subir Saha 25 years, Kolkata.
6. Subir Basak 35 years, Kolkata.
7. Sujit Das 36 years, Kolkata.
8. Srimanta Das 26 years, Halisahar, 24 Parganas.
9. Sudip Saha 22 years, Kolkata .
10.Sumantra Mukherjee 29 years, Hooghly.
11.Tonmoy Roy 26 years, Burdwan .
12.Tushar Kanti Pradhan, 26 years, Kolkata.

We have chosen 12 artists, instead of 10, because of the high level of promise
and talent displayed by all the short-listed artists.

We congratulate the winners and the 12 other artists who had made it
to the short-list of 24.
{ We need to clarify that we will work with all the 24 artists who
have been selected ; and we are in the process of organizing events
and exhibitions where all the 24 artists will be involved }


All the 12 winners have been asked to attend a briefing, followed by
refreshments, at our gallery on 4 July 2010 ( Sunday ) at 4 pm.

The exhibition of the works of the Talent Hunt Winners will be held
in our gallery from 3 August - 30 September 2010.

31 July has been reserved for the Art Critics & the Press to have a
first look at the works,followed by a press conference and dinner.

The 12 winners will leave for the Jodhpur Art Camp on 2 September 2010,
and return back to Kolkata on 13 September 2010.

We are looking forward to present the works of the winners to the art lovers
of Kolkata and our sponsor in Jodhpur.
